My Morning Green Smoothie
I’ll keep this short and sweet, Full Circle Wellness community… I’ve got a simple, but powerful recipe for a breakfast smoothie that WON’T leave you hungry by noon, and you want it, I’m sure of it ;)
Ingredients:
½ a Cup of Frozen Spinach: I mean… you can leave it un-frozen, but if you love an ice cold smoothie, I’d recommend keeping your smoothie greens in the freezer!
1 Cup of Frozen Wild Maine Blueberries: Truthfully, this is where you can make some swaps and use other berries, or another fruit entirely… but let me tell you why I choose blueberries: Blueberries are nutritional powerhouses packed with vitamins C, K, manganese, and dietary fiber. And their deep blue color comes from anthocyanins, potent antioxidants that help lower inflammation and protect the body's cells from oxidative stress. Other berries are just as powerful!
1 - 1.5 Scoops of 1st Phorm, Level-1 Protein: I’m using the Salted Peanut Butter flavor! Sometimes I do 1 scoop of the PB, with ½ a scoop of their chocolate flavor… just depends on what you’re in the mood for… they have a top-tier selection of protein powder flavors, and the quality is unbeatable.
1 Scoop of Creatine (no flavor, also 1st Phorm): Creatine is a highly studied natural compound that supercharges cellular energy production. It is renowned for increasing muscle mass, boosting athletic strength, and accelerating workout recovery. Emerging research also highlights its ability to enhance cognitive function, fight mental fatigue, and support healthy aging.
1 TBSP of my Seed Cycling Blend**: There is a blend for follicular, and a blend for luteal. As a woman in her 30’s living with PMDD, I take all of the natural help I can get, and in my experience, seed-cycling really helps to decrease symptoms.
Extra ice if you like it icy, annnnd…
About 2 cups of Mlik (of choice) - I still use Fairlife, because it’s got lactase, and a low sugar content. It’s unfortunate that their farming practices are horrendous. When and if I find a replacement, you’ll be the first to know!
Blend until smooth and enjoy!
**Seed Cycling Blends:
FOLLICULAR:
Chia Seeds
Hemp Seeds
Flax Seeds
Pumpkin Seeds
LUTEAL:
Chia Seeds
Hemp Seeds
Sesame Seeds
Sunflower Seeds
All ratios are 1 to 1. I like to use ¼ cup of each, blend in a blender to create a ground powder for each half of the cycle. I keep them in mason jars, labeled, and use 1 TBSP per smoothie.
