What to Do When Work is Impacting Your Well-Being
When it comes to feeling like our job/our core source of financial security is impacting our health, it feels like a conundrum. And while there are few small right actions we can take (like continuing other self care and wellness practices), what’s ultimately going to solve this kind of problem is a BIG move.
Slaying a Dragon: Diet Culture
Diet culture is a system of beliefs that equates thinness with health and moral virtue, promoting weight loss as a means to achieve higher status or acceptance. It fosters a toxic standard where self-worth is measured by size and shape, leading to disordered eating, body dysmorphia, and a host of mental health issues. The constant pressure to conform to unrealistic standards can erode self-esteem and promote a harmful relationship with food and exercise.
Back to Basics: The Full Circle Wellness Model
While HEALTH generally refers to the physical state of your body—free from disease, pain, or injury - WELLNESS, on the other hand, is a much broader concept. The idea of FULL CIRCLE Wellness encompasses not just physical health, but also mental health, spiritual health, and much more. Wellness is an active process, and a lifelong journey, of making choices toward a healthy and fulfilling life. FCW is ultimately about the habits we create, the attitudes and beliefs that we hold, and the self-care that we practice on a consistent basis.

Adapting, Coping & Achieving with Routines
Routines provide a sense of predictability and control, something the human brain likes VERY much. When life feels too chaotic, we naturally seek order. When life feels out of control, having a set of activities you perform regularly can ground you. The structure of a routine isn't just about getting things done (although, that’s certainly fulfilling!); it’s about creating a rhythm that supports your mental and physical well-being, that supports your Full Circle Wellness!
Overcoming Trauma and Learning to Thrive
While trauma is a powerful force, our capacity for healing, surmounting the pinnacle, and learning to thrive, is even more formidable. If there is one singular driving force behind where I am today, why I went on a healing journey in the first place, and why I’ve created Full Circle Wellness to help guide you on your own journey… it’s my own trauma. Full Circle Wellness is a platform birthed out of my healing journey, that I’ve curated to help you move beyond survival mode, so that you can truly thrive!

Releasing Stress & Trauma from the Body
Movement allows us to tap into the innate wisdom of the body, bypassing the limitations of language and accessing deeper layers of our being. Through practices such as yoga, dance, or simply tuning into the natural rhythms of our breath and heartbeat, we create space for emotions to flow freely and be expressed in a safe and supportive environment.

Symptoms of depression can vary from person to person but often looks like persistent feelings of sadness, hopelessness, fatigue, changes in appetite or sleep patterns, and loss of interest in activities - even activities you know you enjoy.
Manifest The Life of Your Dreams
While manifestation involves trusting in the Universe to bring your desires to fruition, it's also important to take action toward your goals and dreams. Taking action from a place of gratitude and joy will attract to us that which we desire. Trust the Universe, GOD, Spirit, guides, etc. here… Pay close attention to inspired ideas that pop into your head, synchronicities that show up in your life, and opportunities that come your way, and take action on them without question, trusting that you are being guided, because you are.
You Are the CEO of Your Health
So while there is a time and place to simply call your PCP, there is also a time and place to look into, and experiment for yourself, the benefits of things like herbalism, acupuncture/pressure, massage, sound bathing, saunas, food as medicine, and yes, even essential oils, and much more.
Happiness is an Action
You see, most people think that in order to be happy they need to first have something. Maybe it’s a relationship, or money, or a specific job, or children, or even time. But the reality of happiness is that we must first cultivate that state of BEING, and take action from that place, in order to HAVE the things that we want and desire.
Embracing Change
Change is a choice. It’s about recognizing that you are capable of growth. It’s about choosing to believe you can do hard things, and it’s about strapping in for the journey, and having a plan for the process. And the truth is, you cannot become someone new without being ready and willing to let the old version of yourself go. Some people are not ready to make that choice.

How Creating Can Help Us Heal Our Trauma Wounds
When it comes to healing trauma, the path is never linear, nor is there one specific kind of path. Right here, right now, I’m speaking from my own experience, and giving insight into the profundity of creating, and healing trauma through creative expression.
Self Care Isn’t About Luxury
Truly nurturing yourself and learning to meet your most basic needs is what real self-care is all about. So that when it comes to something like a manicure and a face mask, or a weekend vacation with your boo, these feel more like a cherry on top of the cake, than using a defibrillator on a flatlining patient. Self-care should be preventative, and act on the offensive to anchor you in the storm of life. It shouldn’t be something you turn to only when the bough breaks, and the water is flooding into the boat.
YOU ARE ALREADY ENOUGH
Cultivating self-worth is not a linear process, and there will be setbacks along the way. Be patient and trust that The Universe has your back. Your worth comes from that place of love. Each step you take toward honoring your true self brings you closer to a life lived authentically, in a state of profound self-love.
Radical Self Acceptance
Confidence like that comes from a silent, internal place that says, “I know who I am, I know what I like and what I don’t, I understand myself, and I accept myself completely. I show up as me. I do life as me. And if you don’t like me, then you are not for me.”
